sod it we'll just get take away!!!!!

well, i dont concider myself to be forgetful (usually, .... although i do have my moments) however we had a nightmare family outing into town the other day!!!!!! we had had a few days of reasonably nice weather so we decided it would be really nice if when my husband came home from work we took the kids into town had a look around the shops as the boys needed new trainers then stopped at the local fish and chip shop and have a picnik in the park. That all sounds lovely in theory, the nightmare started when we had got about half way into town and both jack and poppy started sceaming in their buggy as they had drank all the juice in their bottles, they are both extremly stubborn and didnt give up screaming untill we got all the way into town and brought them a refill!!!!! Then i noticed they both had soggy nappies and needed changing so i dash to the toilets look under the buggy to find my nappy bag not in there....... argh!!!!!! Then we decide 'sod it lets get home and order takeaway' we leave the shopping centre to find it spitting with rain and guess what, i look inder the buggy for the raincover to find it not there and again......argh!!!!!! so we run to the nearest taxi rank throw the kids into a taxi and get home as quick as we can!!! the story ends ok as we get home nice and dry thanks to the taxi and ordered a very scrummy chinese. so now i double check everything a million times before leaving the house. Thats just an example of a bad day, i still believe however that being a mum to my four babies is the hardest but bestest ever job in the whole wide world!!!!!!!!!!

motivation where are you!!!????

so ....... today was my day to be very organised and get the garden sorted, however i lacked any sort of motivation. i really want to get it all done its just the thought of actually donning my wellies and getting out there . how i overcome my idleness!!??? i use my babies as an excuse so think to myself i will get out there for a few hours when the babies have there afternoon nap .....then of course i find the washing needs folding and sorting and the machine reloading ,duster could do with making an appearence and fight some dust, so after all that the kettle goes on have a giggle with loose women and before i know it the babies are awake and im changing nappies and refilling bottles for the hundreth time that day!!!! i am going to sort the garden tomorrow although sods law is telling me the day im determined to do it it will be pouring with rain!!!!!!! so fingers crossed for sunshine and i will, i will, i will have a pretty garden in time for summer bbq's.

is spring finally upon us???

well yes it would appear so, i found one tiny daffodil in my garden today!! i also mannaged to get to the park with my little two, my friend and her little one!! the sun shone bright and we had a lovely few hours in the sunshine chatting away while they ran off all their energy!!!!! however i have a major grumble with the new park in my area!!! its a wonderfull, brand new park which my kids adore but it has been finnished and there is no fence or gate surrounding the park!!!!??? not only am i extremly worried that one of my children will run off into the direction of the very busy main road, there is nothing stopping dogs weeing and worse up all the equipment!!!! a friend phoned the council and asked why the park has no fence and was told this is a new thing they are trying and open play is a new idea but i think its very wrong and am putting together a petition to get the council to change it and put a fence around our lovely new park!!!!! so grumble over and the slightly warmer weather has inspired me to get into the garden and spruce it up a bit in preperation for the summer!!!!
